Okay, I am a major Twilight fan [of course. Another obsessed teenager, go figure]. I thought Twilight was the greatest book I've ever read and I'm not really one for romances either. I thought I would be stuck with Twilight on the brain for another few years. That is until I read City of Bones.

The book sounded interesting enough for me. I love the supernatural genre and I think the little review on the cover; saying it was "...sexy..." kinda caught my attention too. I started reading it once I got home and I literally couldn't stop. It just captured my attention and Jaces' character just made be laugh, I loved him because he is such a dork sometimes and has pretty witty lines [Edward has some competition now. And mind you, looks have nothing to do with my decisions].
Clary kinda reminds me of Bella; just a bit. She's stronger than she thinks she is and doesn't see her own beauty apparently.

I knew I should have bought City of Ashes at the time too, but I wasn't sure if I'd even like the book. Now, I have to wait until my next shopping trip in order for me to get City of Ashes and I think I'm dying a little everyday without knowing what happens next. It's like waiting for Breaking Dawn all over again.

I was a little upset at the end. I like the idea of Jace and Clary; they just seemed to go together with their attitudes and personalities and all.

Overall, it's a fantastic book and I absolutely LOVE it. x)

After I read Twilight, I thought that that was one of most well-written books with a great plot I had ever read, until I picked up City of Bones. Now, for all of you who don't love Twilight, City of Bones is nothing like Twilight at all. I mostly just compare books by the level of interest in the plot and characters and the use of language descriptiveness.
Basically how well the story was done overall.

City of Bones is a completely different story with action [swords and fighting for guys], awesome characters with awesome personalities, suspense when the unexpected occurs, romance [and lots of it!-for the girls], wicked cool names like Jace, Clarissa, Valentine, Maia, and Magnus Bane, and an unbelievable twist at the end of the book that will have you scrambling to get the next book ASAP!

If you enjoy romance, a bit of violence, cool weapons, hot guys and gals, suspense, the supernatural, intertwined stories and people, and a cruel twist of fate, this book is for you.

But I'm simply not giving it justice. Read it and find out for yourself what it's like to be Clary Fray for a day.
